Pemba was born and raised in the Everest region, in Phakding, a small village located south of Namche Bazaar. He considers the Sagarmatha National Park his “backyard.”
From an early age, Pemba started trekking through the Himalayan Mountains with his father, "Nemo", running Yaks from Namche Bazaar all the way up to Everest Base Camp and back. Pemba recently participated in the Everest Base Camp Marathon finishing second among a competitive field in just over 5 hours. Needless to say, Pemba has a deep understanding of the Everest Region and knows what it takes to guide trekkers through the Sagarmatha National Park.
Pemba recently graduated with a Bachelor in Travel and Tourism from the NCTTM College in Kathmandu. While attending college, he worked as home parent at the Himalayan Children Foundation where he was also responsible to take donors and sponsors on guided tours. Pemba is well connected within the Kathmandu culture and puts the best team of guides and support system together to allow for an insightful and peaceful journey through the Himalayan Mountains.
